I saw this man on the Metro this past Monday, and asked him who the flowers were for. They were for his wife. They’ve been married for 47 years. Every Monday, he brings her home flowers after work. My heart died at that moment.

Welcome to the Best Amusement Park in the World!
I slept pretty well last night, considering it poured down all night, just a little damp. Just a 5hour drive through Ohio, including Cleveland, today. When we arrived at Cedar Point it was about 3ish so only had to pay $30 for a night pass. This was fantastic as the large crowds had started to go and we managed to get on every ride.
Not everyone fancied the thrills of an amusement park so it was just Young Woo, Jesse and I. Emily, Chloe and ChangHyun came to watch and hold our bags! I’s a sucker for thrill seeking, so when I found out that this is where the worlds fastest roller-coaster is, I HAD to have a go. At around 420ft high and just under 130mph it was insane. The ride, of course, was over in seconds. We left around 8pm, having done pretty much everything.
Todd, our tour leader picked us up and took us to Steak ‘n’ Shake. These were, by far, the biggest burger, fries and milkshake combo I had ever seen. The waitress was also obsessed with all of our accents, she particularly swooned over Jesse!!
When we arrived at camp later that evening, overlooking Lake Eerie, it had flooded so we were put up in Caravans. Chicago tomorrow

This here is a blog I am writing in partial fulfilment of the Manipulating Media module in my course. Unfortunately we couldn’t use tumblr for this. However, if any of you could comment on ANYTHING it would be highly appreciated as this is what my tutors want to see what is happening.
Thank you
He’ll call that trickle-down. I call it Niagara Falls.
Today was the day I met me new family. Well, my family for the next 6 weeks. After spending the night sleeping like a baby, even after being woken by the fire alarm, at The Hilton, I headed down to the lobby at 7.30am. Thanks to good old facebook, I had spoken to a few of these lovely people beforehand. But meeting them in the lobby was an entirely different experience.
We drove for 7hours today in our little white van. All the way through the beautiful green landscape of Pennsylvania, back into New York state to the Canadian border. And there it was; Niagara Falls.
We headed straight for the maid of the mist, to fashion ourselves in those fetching plastic blue rain covers, and head straight in to the line of fire. If I’m honest I didn’t see that much on the boat as I was constantly covering my face from water spray. And I don’t mean a little splash. I was wet, real wet.
The place itself, in all its beauty, was not as I had imagined it at all. Rather than the falls in the middle of this beautiful, natural landscape, a place to just stumble up; as i had imagined, it was incredible built up.
Now, I will be spending the next 6 weeks in a tent. A basic 2 man tent, with a sleeping mat as thin as a piece of string. We camped at Four Mile camp-site over looking a beautiful lake, that unfortunately was barely visible due to the weather. Typical.
But with dinner on the stove, and Budweiser in hand, the night was ours. I had spent no more than hours with these people, and I already felt like I had know them weeks. Today really set the prescient for the rest of the trip…
